available for women only in an 11 bed facility close to central
Cardiff. Treatment and care of the highest standard is provided
for women seeking a quality recovery from addiction.

DEVELOPINGEXCELLENCE
IN FAMILYRECOVERY
Family workers can gain a full working knowledge of CRAFT (Community
Reinforcement and Family Training), an evidence-based motivational
programme for families concerned about a substance-misusing loved one.
CRAFT teaches family members to:
• Harness knowledge of a substance misuser’s behaviour to
increase the chance of their loved one entering treatment
• Recognise and respond safely to potential aggression
• Decrease stress
• Improve their self-worth
Research shows seven out of 10 concerned significant others using CRAFT
get their loved ones into treatment. After attending a three-day course run
by Positive Practice Partnership Ltd, workers can choose to progress
through accreditation.
