Clouds House
Clouds House has been providing residential treat-
ment since 1983. The house is a 38-bed registered
care home (with nursing), and provides six weeks
first-stage abstinence-based treatment, including
detoxification if required. The programme is based
on a 12-step philosophy and includes group therapy,
1:1 counselling and workshops. It is run by amulti-disciplinary teamand
is accredited by the European Association for the Treatment of Addiction.
Men and women (over 18) are treated for alcohol and/or drug depen-
dency, under a variety of funding arrangements. Families are invited and
encouraged to play a part in treatment. Patients are referred on to a
variety of residential and non-residential aftercare programmes.

Chy Colom (Addaction)
Chy Colom is a second stage,
residential rehabilitation centre in
Truro, Cornwall – encompassing individually-tailored programmes of
support for people with drug and/or alcohol issues. It offers high
quality addiction treatment by a dedicated, committed and
enthusiastic team.
The one building houses 11 beds for male and female clients, where
expert support is available 24 hours a day. There, service users are
helped with all aspects of their treatment, including: life-skills such
as cooking, budgeting and household duties; recovery tools such as
relapse prevention and developing a recovery network; personal
development training including assertiveness, self-esteem and
coping strategies. Training and education opportunities are also key
elements of the successful and holistic treatment programme.
Clarity Treatment
Clarity Treatment services is an
holistic residential treatment programme offering a daily structure to
individuals, with separate housing and clinical groups for males and
females. All service users have their own bedroom and keep their
personal benefits for purchasing food.
Our services include: an optional 2-week detox programme, and a
residential treatment programme, which can last from 6-52 weeks.
Clarity Treatment services tailor-make their treatment to suit
individual needs, which consists of: group therapy, relapse
prevention, art therapy, optional 12-steps, various workshops, life
skills, meditation, counselling, key working, college, voluntary work,
careers advice, assistance with move-on and resettlement.

innovative and quality services, Cranstoun – registered charity – helps
more than 15,000 people each year by supporting their recovery from
drugs and alcohol misuse.
Cranstoun services include: residential treatment and rehabilitation
(CQC registered); structured treatment and recovery services in the
community; first steps to recovery and engagement, including
outreach and harm reduction; recovery and reintegration services
incorporating supported housing, employment, education and
volunteer support; specialist young people’s and women’s services;
and criminal justice services.
