Bridal with a twist
FOR A BRIDE TO BE CREATIVE AND ORIGINAL
when choosing her dress, it is important for her to explore
beyond traditional boundaries, and to be both inventive and
inspired during the experience. A number of styles can be
adapted and modified to achieve this result. For example,
consider taking the silhouette of a long delicately fitted
mermaid-like dress, and manipulating the hemline in such a
way as to creatively enhance the dress’s shape. Essentially
the mermaid template can be ‘sculpted’ to help pronounce
the overall characteristics of the dress, creating originality
and individualism.
Alternatively, try exploring dress styles from previous eras
and use these designs as a canvas to exude creativity. For
instance a soft, feminine 1950s evening wear style could be
altered to create an entirely original bridal wear design. Fusing
together a corset bodice with a 1950s style short full-circle
skirt would help to achieve such originality, as it helps to
transcend customary bridal designs.

I truly believe that all of my dresses are highly creative and
original, as each one of my designs is a creation that aims to
challenge bridal wear traditions in one way or another. The
Gypsy skirt is a notable example frommy collection. This
piece is unlike any other garment in my bridal range, as the
fabric is entirely made from individual scrap pieces of silk
fabric sewed together. On further inspection one can see
that the fabric is complemented by small sections of lace
