SANDrA AND AMANDA
We were lucky to have Ioan and Nicola Said as our
photographers. During a pre-wedding shoot at Delemere
Forest, we learned to enjoy having our picture taken and
trusted Ioan when he told us to stand in various positons.
Afer seeing our photos we knew he would do an amazing
job and it helped him to learn what type of photos we liked.
We also bought a digital video camera and set it up in a
corner to record the ceremony and speeches, and we set up
Skype with my family back home. Twenty people gathered at
my sister-in-law Heather’s house to watch the service!

flower arrangements to sortng out the drinks. We donated
money to cancer research as our wedding favours and my
brother, Tommy, also made survival bracelets. My friends
Vicki and Hazel did my hair and make-up.
Everyone said how lovely the day was and how happy
we both looked. They loved the venue and commented on
how the hall was transformed. Because most people had
been there since the Friday night, everyone had got to know
each other and the mood was very relaxed. They said it was
magical and a fairytale, as well as romantc and personal.
There were very few dry eyes.
For the two of us, it was perfect beyond imaginaton. We
weren’t sure what to expect but it all just came together, and
suddenly all the planning and stress didn’t mater – all that
matered was us, and our tme with our family and friends. We
both felt so loved and we wanted to botle that feeling for when
tmes get tough. We fell in love all over again and remembered
what was important – our love for each other. We have been
through so much together and celebratng the essence of us
with the people that love and support us was amazing.
It’s hard to pick out a single high point as everything was
so magical. The ceremony was perfect. The meal and
speeches were heartelt. Tricia had compiled a video of
messages to us from America, which was very special and
brought America to England. Dancing and celebratng in the
evening was fun – we had a blast.
However you do it, make your day about you, and make
it special for the two of you. It’s your tme to enjoy and
celebrate what you have together. Enjoy every minute, as it
goes by so fast.
