The eyes of the world will be on central London
once again this summer, as the city plays host not
just to Pride London, but also to the annual event
World Pride.
Festval fortnight kicks off in June, with a varied cultural
programme and a vast array of events, including Pride Pooch, a
gay dog show run in conjuncton with Batersea Cats and Dogs
Home – the ultmate accolade of the doggy world! With jazz
evenings, club nights and a fashion show, there’s something for
all tastes.
then on 4 July the World Pride Internatonal Conference
will feature LGBt campaigners and actvists from across the
world focusing on decriminalising homosexuality, especially
within the Commonwealth, and improving the lives of the
LGBt community worldwide. A gala dinner the following
evening will double as a fundraiser to support organisatons in
the Commonwealth that tackle homophobia and transphobia.
the magnificent pride parade will make its way to
trafalgar square on 7 July – a pageant for artsts, performers
and actvists to join together and celebrate the joy of
progress, as well as campaigning for change. the a er partes
will make it a weekend to remember, so stock up on sleep!

Manchester Pride is gearing up for a party-tastc ‘Big
Weekend’ over the August bank holiday.
Limbering up with plenty of culture at the pride
fringe, a parade of more than 100 floats will make
their way through the streets to Gay village for the
climax of the ten-day festival on 25 August. there will
be three days of famous performers on different
stages, local entertainers, hundreds of market and
lifestyle stalls and the very best of Manchester’s
famous gay pubs and clubs.

yes, the scottish festival returns in fine spirits on 30
June to offer live music, DJs, a health and community
