Well here we are again, our summer edition,
and I can’t believe that not so long ago we
were celebrating Christmas – where does the
time go? Let me add my voice to the many
congratulations to Ireland for their massive
win for equality for same sex couples (page
11). Now that’s a highly satisfying way to
introduce this issue of the magazine, I have to say.
So, what else do we have in store for our summer edition? Well we’ve asked
solicitor Daniel Williamson to talk about legal rights and help explain the issues
we face when hit with discrimination purely based on our sexuality (page 8).
Martin and Bruce share their story about how they met at the Edinburgh
Festival – both looking forward to a fantastic day and neither looking for love, but
when they met they were instantly smitten (page 40). Kirsten and Effie take us to
Hackney Town Hall to share their story about how they created a quirky London
wedding that just oozed with style (page 68), while Rochelle and her partner
Rachel jetted over to Barcelona for their intimate ceremony, realising that life’s
too short to be apart (page 24). Love is truly in the air with this edition!
Damian Clarkson shares some delicious recipes for sumptuous summer
cocktails (page 83) that can be used at your wedding – or just for fun! – while
we help you choose the right colours for your day with Jennifer Barnes-Hill
(page 86) and give you top tailoring tips from Shaz Riley (page 19).
