About the
daily update
UKHRA to be relaunched today
The UK Harm Reduction Alliance will be
relaunched in the dialogue space (in the exhibition
area) at 15.00 today. Come along to discuss how
to put harm reduction at the forefront of drug
policy development, and to sign up to become a
member of UKHRA.
Nursing AGM
The International Nursing Harm Reduction Network
will be holding its annual meeting today at 12.30.
Ask at reception for room details, or contact
Stephane Ibanez-de-Benito on 07941 51 56 08.
Calling all doctors
There will be a meeting of IDHDP on Wednesday
28 April at Suite 8, Jury’s Inn, 31 Keel Wharf,
Liverpool (just opposite the conference centre).
The meeting is at 12.45 and lunch will be served.
IDHDP in the International Doctors for Healthy
Drug Policies, an international e-network whose
aim is to reduce drug-related harm by supporting
doctors worldwide to improve their practice and
influence peers and policymakers. Come and be a
part of the worldwide voice for healthy drug

New human rights article available
The International Centre on Human Rights and Drug
Policy is pleased to announce the release of the first
article from the
2010 International yearbook on
human rights and drug policy. Targeted killing of
drug lords: traffickers as members of armed
opposition groups

Producer nations session
Co-founder of the centre, Damon Barrett, is
hosting the first session on harm reduction for
producer nations, looking at the perspective of
farmers from Colombia, Burma, Afghanistan and
Bolivia at 9.00am Thursday in Room 1A.
