NewLink Wales
Training
: NewLink Wales is a charity providing substance misuse
training. We deliver a NOS mapped training programme and design
and deliver bespoke courses for organisations. As an approved centre
with City & Guilds, the Institute of Leadership and Management and
Agored Cymru we deliver qualifications including the Diploma Level 3
in Health and Social Care, Level 3 in Community Justice, NVQ Level 3,
5 and 7 in Management and the Award/Certificate in Working with
Substance Misuse amongst others. We provide the Award/Certificate
in Employability and Personal Development aimed at service users
and assessor and verifier qualifications.
Volunteering:
NewLink Wales recruits, trains and places volunteers
with agencies that work to support those affected by substance
misuse. We have a NewSteps service user programme which works
with clients still in treatment and a MILE (Mentoring in Learning &
Education) programme for ex-service users who wish to volunteer.
Community Engagement Services:
supporting individuals, families
and groups from diverse communities, who are in some way affected
by substance misuse in a sensitive and culturally appropriate
manner. We also provide services to young people.

Gill Bradbury has 25 years’ experience of working in harm
reduction, drug & alcohol treatment, and HIV support services as a
nurse/ practitioner and manager.
Gill is a well-regarded Clinical Management Consultant & Freelance
Trainer – undertaking UK-wide audits & service reviews; evaluation
of (international) programmes; writing of funding proposals, policy
& procedure, and report editing; as well as the delivery of high-
quality, bespoke training designed to meet the needs of the
commissioning agency – both, in the UK and abroad.
Gill is also an independent trainer on behalf of HIT – (BBVs & Sexual
Health + Treatment of Drug & Alcohol Dependency), and the Eurasian
Harm Reduction Network – (Developing Services for Women: Alcohol
& Other Drug Use, Reproductive Health & Pregnancy; Gender-based
Violence & Domestic Abuse, and Psycho-Social Interventions).

Effective Case Management Skills; Relapse Management; Working
with Pregnant Women who Use Drugs; Understanding
