The Linwood Group provides an intensive 28+ day, abstinence
based residential treatment offering medical and psychological
services, at extremely competitive prices, for those suffering
from alcohol and/or cocaine dependence.
The treatment comprises a 1 week + detoxification at our clinic
in South Yorkshire, once detoxification is complete we transfer
our clients to one of our treatment centres in either North
Yorkshire or Lincolnshire for a 3 – 5 week treatment programme.
Both these centres are in rural locations with plenty of
opportunity for fresh air and exercise.
Our treatment goals are:
• Safe detoxification from alcohol and the management of
immediate medical issues.
• Acceptance of the condition of chemical dependency.
• Introduction to the tools and principles of ’12 Step’
recovery and integration with 12 Step organisations.
• The beginning of ongoing self-assessment discovery, self
core and development through the use of Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Enhancement, Relapse
Prevention and Stress and Anger Management Workshops
and 12 Step Facilitation.
We recommend that all our clients attend our monthly aftercare
groups which are offered at no extra cost. Family groups are also
offered as part of our commitment to family members and
friends who may be affected by another person’s addiction.
