SANdrA ANd AMANdA
love with the place. It’s a do-it-yourself venue, which was
exactly what we were looking for and Anthony and Julie, the
owners, couldn’t have been more helpful.

On the mOrning Of Our big day
we went for a walk with
Amanda’s sister and our dog. It was fun to relax before it all got
crazy. Then we enjoyed getng ready and seeing each other for
the first tme – neither of us knew what the other was wearing,
so it was a fun surprise to see what we’d each chosen. Buying
my wedding dress had been so excitng for me as I had lost five
stone. I wanted to be able to wear whatever I wanted and I
choose a strapless dress. I felt so beautful.
We wanted our ceremony to be personal and very ‘us’ and
so we chose our songs based on who we are and what we like.
We walked in – each separately down the aisle with our dads –
to Brother Iz Kamakawiwo’ole’s
Somewhere over the rainbow
, a
song that reminded us of our tme in Hawaii. Then for the
signing of the register we had
Be er together
by Jack Johnson
and
Just the way you are
by Bruno Mars. We walked out to
This
will be
by Natalie Cole. We wrote our own vows and chose two
readings,
The key to love
and
All I want
. Our service was about
celebratng who we are as individuals, but also who we are as a
couple and sharing our love with our family and friends.
We each had two witnesses – Amanda’s two sisters, my
best friend Tricia and my brother Tommy. My niece and
nephew were also a part of our special day, and Abigale was
our flower girl. Pauly and Bramble, our Cavalier King Charles
spaniels, were our ring bearers! Our friends Sos, Lynz and
Kath did readings, as well as my Aunt Agnes.
